My Life’s Purpose

Selling relics from the past is my Life’s calling.

In 2012 I began to really trying to understand my purpose in life and why I am so in love with items of the past.  Why is there such an internal passion to touch, feel, surround myself and care for these aged artifacts? I suppose it's hard to understand our passions, they are just a part of our spirit that we are born with.

I would say that I was born with a need to save things that were being thrown out. Although not very acceptable by cultural standards, in college my friends and I would hop in dumpsters searching for anything that shouldn't really be there. We'd save these items, sometimes even donating them to a thrift store as long as they didn't end up at the garbage dump.  But is there a bigger purpose in this? I'm exploring this idea of really going into a deeper level with the items that I buy. I want to understand where they came from, what journey they have traveled. I want to know about the designer behind them and share the stories with you. I also want to share what I know about where they have spent the last 30 years on a shelf in someone's curated collection.

Selling relics from the past is my Life’s calling. My passion and my truest desire. Along the way of saving something from the landfill, I am given the gift of being able to help people with liquidating an estate of their loved one. I am doing what I love and I couldn’t feel more blessed.
